Greetings
This Saturday July 30th we will have a ride at Evergreen. The trail is Alderfer / 3 Sisters. We will meet at the upper parking lot at 8:45 am and be riding by 9 am. The trail has lots of climbing and not as much technical riding. This is one of the favorites. Since the ride is close to Denver I am not setting up carpooling for this ride.
The directions to get there from the State Park web site.
Getting There
To access the park, travel south of Evergreen, Colorado on Highway 73. Turn west on Buffalo Park Road, approximately 1 mile to the east parking lot. The physical address for this east trailhead is 30299 Buffalo Park Road. A second parking lot is located another 1/2 mile along Buffalo Park Road and the physical address for this larger lot is 31677 Buffalo Park Road. Motorized vehicles are confined to the parking areas and roadways.
Hope to see you there.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Here is some more info.
The fee for parking is $5 and in a National Park so the State Park pass won’t work there.
C.25.b. Passing On Natural Surface Trails: At no less than fifteen (15) feet of approaching other trail users from any direction, slow to a speed comparable to the trail user being passed, communicate and gain their attention. Pass safely, single file and when oncoming traffic is clear. Stop when necessary to allow safe passage. Fine: $50.00
And a little more on the picnic. Just a quick note. The picnic is more a potluck in that people should bring a dish to share, their own utinsels and maybe a camp chair.
Blessings All

Hello All
I just got a call back from the Rangers about parking. If you don’t park in the designated parking area you will possibly get a ticket. If you park on the side of the road in the park you will possibly get a ticket. Here’s the breaks. Andrew Gordon is going to park at the North parking lot and ride to the West parking to meet us. If some of the advanced riders want to do this also it might help. Also advanced riders can park in the lot at the bottom on Hwy 6 for a good crank up. Lot’s of parking there. For the rest carpool if you can and park in the West lot. I will meet at the carpool parking. The Ranger I spoke with told me if we park on the side of the road at/before the park entrance we won’t get a ticket. It is a 4 way at the park entrance so there are 3 roads to park on the side of. You will have a short climb up to the West parking area.
Also the earlier you get there the better chance for getting a parking spot. Any questions let me know.
God Bless and See you tomorrow
